This lovely cottage is located on the Upper Wye Valley and is a great base from which to explore the Elan Valley, Devil’s Bridge and the Hafren forest. There are views to the fields surrounding Wye View from the ground floor, and you can often spot a circling Red Kite or Buzzard through the sky-lights. Sleeps 4, perfect for a small family.
Hafren Cottage offers open plan living on the ground floor. There is a cosy leather sofa in the lounge area, satellite TV and a DVD player. Just beyond there is a well-equipped kitchen including microwave, washing machine, gas hob, oven and fridge-freezer. The dining area has a table and seats four, with room for a highchair – remember to request this when booking. The shower room has powerful shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.
At the top of the stairs is a galleried bedroom with a double bed (137cm wide, 192 cm long) equipped with a Silentnight Miracoil orthopaedic pocket sprung mattress on a slatted base. A door opens through to the twin bedroom where there are two standard single beds (92cm wide, 192cm long) with sprung mattresses on a slatted base. Plump duvets are feather and down filled.
The cottage has recently been fully redecorated with new carpets upstairs, and slate flags downstairs. Hafren has full central heating and its own WiFi access to broadband internet.
Outside there is a shared terrace with garden table and chairs, free access to over an acre of gardens, and footpaths leading up the hillside and beyond.
